Classified as a "flue-cured" type tobacco, 'Gold Leaf' was historically used for cigarette blending. The plants grow to about forty-four inches tall when topped, or can reach six feet when allowed to develop its attractive pink flowers.Nicotiana tabacum L

Its slightly undulating, puckered leaves are much longer than they are wide, with their widest point below their middle. Typical leaves are eight inches wide by twenty-four inches long. Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552643 and was grown for us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
