70 days, dwarf — 'Dwarf Lemon Ice' plants are compact (averaging two to three feet in height), dwarf in habit with rugose, regular leaves producing small to medium sized (three to twelve ounce), yellow, heart-shaped fruit that are meaty and have a good, mild, sweet but slightly tart flavor (well-balanced).
This "Dwarf Tomato Project" variety originated as a stabilized selection out of the "Nosey family" ('Roza Vetrov' and 'Anna Banana Russian') made by Patrina Nuske Small. It is the third heart-shaped selection from the "Nosey family." Among those who contributed to stabilizing this new dwarf variety were Craig LeHoullier, Linda Black, Dan Follett, Amanda Fischer, and Sherry Long. Final selection and naming was done by Linda Black of California. Introduced commercially by the Victory Seed Company for the 2016 gardening season. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Lemon Ice' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Lemon Ice' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
