Our wildflower mix for the Pacific Northwest contains a selection of annual and perennial varieties ideal for the moister maritime climate of Northern California and Western Oregon and Washington. It is also suitable for regularly irrigated sites receiving more that thirty inches annually.
Each packet contains one (1) ounce which will cover approximately 375 square feet.
The mix includes the following twenty five annual and perennial varieties: Cornflower, Scarlet Flax, Blue Flax, Lance-leafed Coreopsis, Blanket Flower, Annual Baby's Breath, Shirley Poppy, Black-eyed Susan, Plains Coreopsis, Tall Evening Primrose, Siberian Wallflower, Clarkia - Farewell to Spring, Rocket Larkspur, Sweet William, Shasta Daisy, California Poppy, Candytuft, Spurred Snapdragon, Chinese Houses, Baby Blue-Eyes, Sweet William Catchfly, Sweet Alyssum, Sickle Keeled Lupine.
Planting Instructions: As early in the spring as possible, prepare your flower bed site by removing weeds and loosening the soil. You can sow the seeds by broadcasting and then raking them into the soil. The goal is for the seeds to make good soil contact and to be covered with light soil no more than two-and-a-half times their thickness. Germination will start occurring when the soil reaches about 55ºF. The area will need to be kept moist until germination occurs.
