Halladay's Mortgage Lifter
95 days, indeterminate — 'Halladay's Mortgage Lifter' has regular leaf vines and produces large (up to a pound), oblate-shaped, crack-resistant, beefsteak-type, pink colored fruit. Its flesh is very meaty and has a great tangy, yet mild, flavor.
We received 'Halladay's Mortgage Lifter' from Craig LeHoullier in 2017. He told us that it had been, "... grown since the 1930s by the Halladay family of Kentucky."[1] Craig received his seed from James Halladay of Fairview, Pennsylvania in 1987. He described how it was developed in the 1920s or 1930s originating in the Ashland, Kentucky/Huntington, West Virginia region.[2] Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
