50 days — Also known as 'Green Crop' and 'Bush Kentucky Wonder'. The plants grow eighteen to twenty inches tall and produce stringless pods that reach about seven inches long with white seeds.
The crop matures at one time and is bred for the north but widely adapted. Bred by Dr. Albert F. Yeager and released by the New Hampshire Agricultural Extension Service and the USDA in 1956. 'Greencrop' was an "All-American Selection®" winner the following year in 1957. About 70 seeds per ounce.
Sow seeds 1½ inches deep, every two to three inches. Bush-type beans do not require support.
Pick the pods while young as they are more tender and succulent and less likely to be stringy.
