Each packet contains one ounce, which is approximately 80 seeds.
50 days - Also marketed by vendors as 'Top Crop', it is a very disease resistant variety with strong upright plants that reach twenty-four inches tall. Its pods are six to seven inches long, round and stringless. The crops are heavy with pickings concentrated. The seeds are dark brown speckled with tan. Great fresh, canned or frozen.

'Topcrop' was released by the USDA, Beltsville, Maryland in 1950 and was an "All-America Selection®" winner that same year.

Planting Instructions: Beans prefer well-drained, rich soil in a sunny location. Make sure that you keep them well watered in the summer heat. Don’t bother trying to get an early start with beans – you’ll waste a lot of seed! Beans are tender and you should not plant them until all danger of frost has passed and the soil remains above 65ºF.

Sow seeds 1½ inches deep, every two to three inches. Bush-type beans do not require support.

Pick the pods while young as they are more tender and succulent and less likely to be stringy.

★★★★★ Topcrop Green Beans
By Johnny Back (Texas Panhandle) on June 27, 2025

These medium to small brown seeded bush green beans are our all time favorite. They always germinate quickly and uniformly, quickly turning into strong stemmed young plants that withstand our frequent bouts of 30mph+ winds better than many other varieties. They ripen pretty much together making it easier to harvest in preparation for pressure canning, and our family and neighbors all are very pleased with the taste and texture of these beans. Our first planting in '25 was wiped out by a BIG hail storm. During the hail I got up, went online to the Victory Seed website and reordered. The seeds arrived in 3 days, even before the ground was dry enough to replant. Again, the planting was completely successful - quick, uniform germination and now another beautiful garden full of healthy green beans. Hopefully, this time we'll make it to harvest! I know everyone has their favorite green bean and that's all good. Ours is the Victory Seed Topcrop bush variety!
