Slenderette Bush Green Garden Bean
Slenderette Bush Green Garden Bean
55 days — The plants of 'Slederette' bush beans are upright, dark green and produce excellent yields of slim, five inch long, straight pods with white seeds. 'Slenderette' is an excellent variety to eat fresh, or as a processing variety either canned or frozen.
It was bred by the Charter Seed Company of Twin Falls, Idaho and introduced in 1968. PVP expired in 1992. Each ounce is approximately 85 seeds.
Sow seeds 1½ inches deep, every two to three inches. Bush-type beans do not require support.
Pick the pods while young as they are more tender and succulent and less likely to be stringy.
