55 days — The plants of 'Slederette' bush beans are upright, dark green and produce excellent yields of slim, five inch long, straight pods with white seeds. 'Slenderette' is an excellent variety to eat fresh, or as a processing variety either canned or frozen.

It was bred by the Charter Seed Company of Twin Falls, Idaho and introduced in 1968. PVP expired in 1992. Each ounce is approximately 85 seeds.

Planting Instructions: Beans prefer well-drained, rich soil in a sunny location. Make sure that you keep them well watered in the summer heat. Don’t bother trying to get an early start with beans – you’ll waste a lot of seed! Beans are tender and you should not plant them until all danger of frost has passed and the soil remains above 65ºF.

Sow seeds 1½ inches deep, every two to three inches. Bush-type beans do not require support.

Pick the pods while young as they are more tender and succulent and less likely to be stringy.

This is my first time planting this variety and very pleased with the results. \\r\\nPlanted 1 oz seed.\\r\\nGood germination rate. Looks like only about 5 seeds didn\\\'t grow. \\r\\nHarvested just over 7 lbs from the first picking!\\r\\nLooks like I\\\'ll have one more light harvest.\\r\\nWill plant again for sure.
