Wax Beans

Phaseolus vulgaris

Related to, and used the in the same way as green beans, wax bean varieties differ only in the appearance of their pods. Instead of a shade of green, wax beans are generally yellow, sometimes purple, and as their name implies, have a waxier texture. Wax beans can be substituted in recipes for green beans and add visual interest to meals.
