Variegated (Splash of Cream) Tomato
Variegated (Splash of Cream) Tomato
(aka Splash of Cream)
95 days, indeterminate — 'Variegated' is a very unique variety. Although we have seen tomatoes with interesting chartreuse-colored (lutescent) foliage, this is the first tomato variety that we have seen that has variegated leaves. The whole plants aren't variegated. "Splashes" of cream colored leaves are produced making it an attractive edible ornamental plant.
The plants are very productive. Its red fruit are small (two to five ounces), round, free from blemishes or cracking and have a good flavor. Originally from Europe, 'Variegated' was sent to us in 2004 by author and tomato authority Craig LeHoullier. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
