Orange Hat Micro Dwarf Tomato
Price: $4.45
SKU: 340437160 days. Like all micro dwarf tomatoes, this is a really fun one to grow, and is perfect for containers or tiny spaces. It even grows well indoors under growlights. Enjoy fresh tomatoes in the dead of winter! The plants are truly micro, never reaching 12 inches tall. It yields a good amount of small orange cherry-sized fruit at a time from each plant, and they provide an extended harvest by continuing to set flowers and bear new fruit after each harvest. Excellent for patio containers and growlight growing. Orange Hat is a Russian variety that is known there as Oranzhevaja Shapochka, which being translated means "Orange Riding Hood".

Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

so glad I finally tried this little beauty. 100% germination, had to share seedlings with friends. Grew these out in my Green Stalk and they were the perfect size. had a little problem with leafminers but blue spectrum stick pads solved that. will buy again!

These little plants are fun to grow and they are still producing even in October. They are smaller than the rosy finch tomatoes. They are a very nice orange color and have a somewhat sweet, mild taste. Will grow again.

I grew these in 1.5 quart containers with no drainage and regular neglect, with just a sunny window for light. They are very healthy, disease resistant plants. Adorable too! The first crop from two plants filled an 8 oz juice cup, and they flowered and are producing a second round. One plant is 10 inches, the other 8 inches. The only thing is… they aren't so tasty. They do have both mild sweetness and some acidity, but the acidity—to my taste, which is possibly too close to college—has hint of stomach acid that conjures undelightful memories. Both right off the plant and with a week of ripening. Mine also have tough skins. Usually the sunny window makes small fruit but doesn't affect flavor too much. So while I am still growing out the plants, I have not finished my juice cup yet.

I was truly impressed with this Micro-Produced extremely well and was easy to grow indoors(Aerogarden) and outdoors as well in my Greenstalk planter. I will plant this again next year and would recommend!
