90 days to maturity. Silver Queen is the white sweet corn that made white corn popular. 3 generations later, it's still widely grown across the US. This late-season F1 hybrid produces glossy white kernels with a creamy texture and a mild, sweet flavor. Ears are 8 to 9 inches long with 14 to 16 rows of kernels, wrapped in tight dark green husks. The ears set high on the plant.
Plants reach about 8 feet tall. It is widely adapted and grows well across a broad range of climates, provided the growing season is long enough. Because it matures late, many growers plant it alongside an earlier variety so the harvest is spread out rather than arriving all at once.
Silver Queen is a sugary (su) type corn, so it is best eaten soon after picking. Sugar starts converting to starch within hours of harvest, and the flavor is at its peak the same day. It also freezes and cans well if you pick and process quickly. Seeds are untreated.

Planting Instructions:
Soil must be at least 65ºF to germinate. Be patient and do not plant too early or you will waste a lot of seed! Plant in full sun and keep it watered. Corn is a wind-pollinated plant. Plant in blocks several rows wide to ensure full ears.
