SKU: 307021190 days — 'Perfection' is a savoy-type cabbage with deeply crumpled, dark green leaves. Very tender with an excellent flavor. These heads can reach a weight of about 8 to 12 pounds and typically measure around 10 to 12 inches in diameter. Each packet contains 0.5 gram, which is approximately 75 seeds.
Planting Instructions: Plant indoors five weeks prior to your last expected frost date. Sow at a depth of about ¼ inch keeping moist until the seedlings appear. Use as much light as possible, watering as required.
Two weeks prior to transplanting, acclimate the seedlings to the outdoors by moving outside into the shade and then return indoors at night. Expose the plants to more direct sunlight every day. Check moisture regularly. Transplant 16 inches apart in rows spaced 24 inches.

This is one beauty of a cabbage! This was my first time growing a savoy-type, so don't have anything to compare it to. Germination and vigor were excellent. It tolerated transplant to the garden well, and with the help of late afternoon shade from the corn patch it didn't even seem to mind our extra-hot summer! Aphids were only a minor problem. They certainly infested the outer leaves, but once these were pealed away they were completely fine. Cabbage moths did their usual damage, but nothing too out of the ordinary and we didn't have to use BT. The heads were gorgeous, with bright, light green wrinkled leaves and a very slight peak, though they were mostly only rounded.

I love this cabbage. It's beautiful, tasty, and grows like a champ.
