55 days - 'Improved Tendergreen' has also been known over the years as "Tendergreen Improved," "Mosaic Resistant Tendergreen," and "Super Green."[2] The plants are productive, grow vigorously and strong remaining erect, and reach about twenty inches in height. The six inch long, bright green pods are tender but brittle and excellent flavored. A great choice for freezing, canning and of course, fresh eating.
Developed by Mel Anderson[4] of the Rogers Brothers Seed Company of Idaho and introduced in 1950.[1,3] The complex cross (('Idaho Refugee' x 'Tendergreen') x 'Tendergreen') added disease resistance (Bean Common Mosaic Virus, Bean Virus 1, and New York 15) while maintaining the characteristics of 'Tendergreen'. [3]

Planting Instructions:
Beans prefer well-drained, rich soil in a sunny location. Make sure that you keep them well watered in the summer heat. Don’t bother trying to get an early start with beans – you’ll waste a lot of seed! Beans are tender and you should not plant them until all danger of frost has passed and the soil remains above 65ºF.
Sow seeds 1½ inches deep, every two to three inches. Bush-type beans do not require support.
