Bonsai Micro Dwarf Tomato
Solanum lycopersicum
Price: $4.45
SKU: 3400439165 days - Semi-Determinate. Bonsai Micro Dwarf Tomato is a very small, compact plant that maxes out at about 12 inches tall, which makes it easy to grow in containers, under lights, on a windowsill or on the patio.
This semi-determinate plant produces a very heavy load of bright red quarter-sized cherry tomatoes that are plump, medium firm, with a mild, sweet taste. The fruits are juicy and seedy, and on the richer side for a small tomato. Most plants give a generous crop for such small plants. This is our second most productive micro dwarf tomato we have grown (Laura #5 being our most productive). We harvested 4 large metal bowls (over 100 fruit per harvest) full of fruit from the 50 plants we grew during the 2025 growing season, and there were many more fruits we left for eating.

Sow seeds indoors (do not direct sow into the garden), using sterile seed starting mix, 6 to 8 weeks before your last expected frost date. Plant 1/4" deep, water lightly but keep moist until emergence.
Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.
