'Yellow Orinoco' plants grow about five feet tall with light green leaves that are about a foot wide by two feet long. Air-cures to a light brown color. Historically used as pipe and cigarette blends.
It was originally selected from the original 'Orinoco', also known as 'Virginia Orinoco', which is one of the oldest named varieties dating back to the 1700s. Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552783 and was sent to us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
