50 days — The bush-type plants of 'Yellow Bush Scallop' summer squash produce nice yields of scallop-shaped fruit with bright yellow skin. Best used at the immature stage as a "mini vegetable" or at any point thereafter. The flesh has a creamy texture and is very flavorful. It is an extremely old variety that predates the commercial seed trade. Each packet contains four grams, which is approximately 38 to 40 seeds.

Planting Instructions: Choose a location that has warm, well-drained and fertile soil. Work in plenty of organic matter and mulch to conserve moisture.

Sow directly into the garden after any threat of frost has past. Sow one inch deep in hills or rows spaced 24 to 30 inches apart.

Harvest when the fruit is six to eight inches long or still tender. Harvest will be lengthened if you keep picking.

★★★★★ So Many!

I planted these in my 2013 summer squash garden. Due to delayed summer temps. alot of my plants suffered. However these didn't. The seeds sprout pretty quickly and the plants are a nice size. I picked these thru October and they were quiet the conversation of the neighborhood-they call em space saucers! I used these for stirfrys, relishes, fresh eating, and I froze the rest for the winter. They make a wonderful bread mixed with the white bush squash and pecans. I will grow these again.

★★★★★ Delicious.

We had a fairly awful growing season here this year for just about everything, but these little guys did wonderfully, which surprised me. Also? Delicious. They are pretty to look at, which is nice, but man do they cook up well. They even taste good raw! Put a tiny bit of butter in a pan, maybe throw in a few leaves of thyme and then slice these squash up - Heaven in the mouth. The bushes don't take up much space and each one seems to grow quite a few squash.
