Vulcan Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Price: $2.95

SKU: 3404831

75 days, indeterminate - The vigorously growing, regular leaf plants of 'Vulcan' produce globe-shaped, two to five ounce, red colored fruit that have a mild, classic red tomato flavor. Borne in clusters of four to six tomatoes, they slip from the vine when ripe, making them very easy to harvest. A nice multipurpose variety; equally suited for fresh eating as well as processing.

Bred by the Horticulture Experiment Station, Vineland Station, Ontario, Canada from a cross between 'V473' and 'Vetomold' and developed for fall forcing in greenhouses. Resistant to Races 1, 2, 5, 7, and 9 of Cladosporium fulvum.[1] Originally released in 1949, our seed stock originated as USDA accession number PI 279736, which was introduced into the USDA's collection on March 19, 1962.
Fruit Color: Red
