75 days, indeterminate — The regular-leaf plants of 'Thessaloniki' are vigorous, have good leaf coverage, and are productive. Their fruit are red colored, six to eighteen ounces each, globe to flattened-globe shaped, with firm flesh that has a slightly sweet, berry-like flavor and a tart aftertaste. Resistant to sunburn, spots and cracking. Keeps well even after ripe.
Introduced by the now defunct Glecklers Seedmen in 1958.[1] They described that they had received their seed from the Ministry of Agriculture Farm in Greece. Our seed originated from USDA GRIN accession number PI 303795 which was donated by Gleckler to the USDA on June 9, 1965. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.
