Eragrostis tef
Also known as Williams Lovegrass, or Annual Bunch Grass, this is an annual grass, a species of lovegrass native to Ethiopia, and is one of the earliest plants domesticated. It's one of the most important staple crops in Ethiopia where the grain is eaten with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Teff is believed to have originated in Ethiopia between 4000 BC and 1000 BC.
In addition to being an excellent grain, it is also used as a forage crop for horses and cattle, and is commonly grown as annual pasture grass in Texas and other areas of the US.
The seeds we are selling are intended to be planted. Only a very small amount of seed is sufficient to sow a very large area. Each gram contains approximately 2,800 seeds. Each packet contains 2 grams. If larger quantities are needed, feel free to contact us for a quote.
