Tait's 'Trucker's Delight' Tomato
Tait's 'Trucker's Delight' Tomato
86 days, indeterminate — Tait's 'Trucker's Delight' is an old Southern variety. Its regular leaf plants produce red, two to ten ounce, globe to elongated-globe shaped fruit. A good slicing variety but also excellent for processing.
Released by the old George Tait & Sons Seed Company of Norfolk, Virginia, it has not been commercially available for several decades. Our stock originated from the USDA GRIN back in 2004 as accession number NSL 27563 (PI 645138). Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
Although the name of this variety contains another seed company's name, the seed we are offering is in no way sourced from, "owned by" or connected with that company. The name is simply the historically accurate, common name for the variety giving credit to the seedsman that originally released it.
