Sarnowski Polish Plum Tomato

75 days, indeterminate — The plants have wispy, regular leaf foliage.  The fruit are five to eight ounces, red, and there is some variability in the shape of the fruit but they are mostly elongated with pointy blossom ends.  As you can see in the picture, they are very meaty with very few seeds.  Excellent flavor makes them great for sauces, processing, and fresh eating.

We received our original seed from Dr. Carolyn Male (NY MA C) who received the variety from Mike Sarnowski of Schenectady, New York whose ancestors brought it to the United States from Poland in the 1890s.  Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
