Price: $3.95
SKU: 3403121This "Dwarf Tomato Project" variety originated with a cross between 'Black Zebra' and a pink selection of the "Cheeky family," made by Ray South and named "Streaky." 'Sarandipity' was selected and named by Craig LeHoullier after his daughter Sara.
Among those who contributed to stabilizing this new dwarf variety were Tessa Millesse, Paul Fish, Susan Oliverson, Ginny Bishton, Patrina Nuske Small, Amanda Fischer, Marla McClaren, Ginger Eisenberg, Carol Knapp, Jason Ford, and Craig LeHoullier. Introduced commercially by the Victory Seed Company for the 2015 gardening season.
Special Groups: Dwarf Tomato Project
Harvest Timing: Early/Short Season
Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

2023 was the first year I grew Sarandipity, but it will not be the last! This is without a doubt THE BEST TOMATO ever. I will grow this every year. The fruit is not only delicious, but very prolific. The largest cherry tomato with green and gold stripes.

I would consider this a VERY large cherry tomato, but once I sauced it, I am in love! I will grow this variety every year. I’m in charge of a large community garden & start multiple seedlings for distribution & Sarandipity is the most requested variety.

This all purpose tomato machine yields tomatoes of true beauty. You will harvest lots of medium sized round chocolate colored fruit with lovely jagged stripes of green and gold. The deep crimson flesh has a delightful mildly sweet flavor. This is not big enough for burgers - this tomato is perfect for quartering into salads, or skewering and grilling so that they melt in your mouth. Yum!
