SKU: 3403371It's my 1st time growing the drawf varieties. I learned quickly to NOT prune them at all,not even the suckers or your productivity will be severly diminished. I read that on a website somewhere. It started getting hot as far as temps, mid to upper 90s and so far I'm still getting decent productivity. I should add that I'm growing in pots which make it even trickier but so far happy with the plant. Hoping to get ripe fruit in about a month.
I am enjoying this tomato this 2022 growing season. The plant is very nice, and semi-vigorous -- grows well, but is also a good neighbor and doesn't get too large. It's more of a mid-season tomato, which is fine. The tomatoes -- oh my! Beautiful, pink-purple fruit that are sweet, but also has a tartness -- which makes it rich and well-balanced. Had a week where we got 5 inches of rain over 4 days and...no splitting! Granted, I try to keep the plants evenly watered, but some other tomatoes split. Rosella Crimson did not - yay! Definitely recommend this tomato variety.
This tomato doesn't get a lot of attention - likely due to it being a pink/red tomato (which are common). But this one shouldn't be overlooked as it is truly an excellent example of a pink/red tomato. The flavor is outstanding.
The fruit are slightly oblate and average around eight ounces in weight. The interior flesh is meaty, but not dry (perfect for sandwiches).
The plant size is typical for a dwarf (about four feet tall) and it is very productive. A very good yielder. I highly recommend this variety!
