78 days, indeterminate — The regular leaf plants of 'Louisiana Gulf State' are disease resistant, vigorous, and high yielding. Its pink fruit are uniform, averaging eight ounces but can reach twelve, are globe to flattened-globe in shape, and are very tasty.
'Louisiana Gulf State' was bred by Dr. Julian C. Miller of the Agricultural Experiment Station in Baton
Rouge and released by Reuter Seed Company in 1936. It was described as a
"highly refined selection of the famous 'Gulf State Market'." Our parent stock source was USDA, ARS accession number NSL 32627. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
