Libby's Pride

80 days, indeterminate — The plants have regular leaf foliage and are a good producer. The paste-type fruit are long (up to five inches), red, meaty with few seeds, and often have a pronounced protrusion on the blossom end.

We received our original seed from Dr. Carolyn Male (NY MA C). She detailed its history as being brought to the Cleveland, Ohio area in the 1960s from the Campobasso Province of Italy by Donaldo Morganti. He gave seeds to a business partner named Liberatore "Libby" Noce who in 2006 gave the seeds to Carl Skalak, who named the variety 'Libby's Pride'. Mr. Skalak gave seeds to Dan Misztal who ultimately gave seeds to Dr. Male. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
Tomato Uses: Paste

★★★★★ Vigorous Producer
By Janet Colford on August 1, 2018

This tomato variety is what I expected. The plants are super healthy and disease resistant, and each plant is huge and producing prodigiously. One plant has about thirty tomatoes on it. I had gotten this type of tomato from another company (they called it Hogheart) and the flavor was wonderful. I expect these will not disappoint.
