Large German Cherry
70 days, indeterminate — The vines of 'Large German Cherry' are early, vigorous, productive and sprawling. As its name implies, the red, cherry-type fruit are large for this category of tomato. The average size is one to one and a half inches in diameter but can reach two inches. They are tart, with a slightly sweet flavor, and very juicy. It exhibits good crack resistance, except for burst type.Developed at Oregon State University by a stabilizing a cross between 'Klondine Red' and Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium[1] and introduced in about 1967[2], 'Large German Cherry' does well in Northern climates. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
