Indark

85 days, indeterminate — 'Indark' produces beautiful, smooth-skinned, fruit that are oblate in shape, red in color, meaty and tasty and large (weighing up to twenty ounces).  They are also resistant to cracking and Fusarium wilt.

Bred by University of Arkansas, Fayetteville as a stabilized cross between 'Rutgers' and 'Pan America'.  It was released to seedsmen in 1954 by Libby, McNeill, and Libby (the food product company).

Although it was said to be adapted for "the Southern United Stated and Indiana,"[1] it proved to be a good performer here on the farm in Oregon. Our seed was grown out from USDA GRIN accession number  NSL 22401 (PI 644844).  Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
Fruit Color: Red
Harvest Timing: Main Crop / Mid-Season
