Green Grape Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Price: $2.95

SKU: 3400721

65 days, determinate - The plants have a compact, bush-type habit and produce generous amounts of small, 1½ inch, globe-shaped, greenish-yellow fruit that are borne in clusters of four to twelve. The green flesh is juicy and has an excellent flavor.

Bred by Tom Wagner of Tater Mater Seed and introduced in 1986. It has been reported that it was originally an indeterminate variety. However, in over two decades that we have been raising it, 'Green Grape' has always been stable as a determinate type.
Tomato Uses: Small Fruits / Salads
Fruit Color: White
Fruit Color: Green
Special Groups: "Epic" Tomatoes
Harvest Timing: Early/Short Season
Sow seeds indoors (do not direct sow into the garden), using sterile seed starting mix, 6 to 8 weeks before your last expected frost date. Plant 1/4" deep, water lightly but keep moist until emergence.

Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.

Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

★★★★★ A bit different but good!

I wanted a colorful garden and wanted to try these uniquely colored green tomatoes. They're a golden green when ripe and have a crisp, fresh flavor that's different from the 20+ sweet tomatoes I planted. Will definitely grow these next year.
