Frog Eye Orinoco
Nicotiana tabacum L
[ Approximately 100 seeds per packet ]

'Frog Eye Orinoco' plants grow about five feet tall producing about sixteen good leaves per plant. The leaves average about fifteen inches wide by two feet long.  Flue-cures to a light brown color and sometimes it will exhibit specks on the leaves that look similar to a frog's eye. Historically used for cigarettes, as well as for pipe and cigar filler blends.

It was originally selected from the original 'Orinoco', also known as 'Virginia Orinoco', which is one of the oldest named varieties dating back to the 1700s. Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552633 and was sent to us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
