Planting Instructions:
Days to germination – 10 to 14
Days to harvest – 55 days
Plant is rich, moist soil as soon as soil can be worked. Keep soil constantly moist and make sure that they have plenty to eat.
Sow seed ½ inches deep, 2 inches apart, in rows 18 to 24 inches apart. Cover with loose soil. Thin plants to about six inches. Avoid disease by not planting where other Brassica (cole crops) plants have grown in the past year or two.
For continuous harvest, plant every two weeks until one month before the first fall frost. When stems are two to three inches in diameter, cut off at ground level.
Standard home garden and market variety. The skin pale green and the flesh is creamy-white. These are best enjoyed when they are 2 to 2-½ inches in diameter, before they become woody.
