Early Girl ripens earlier than other varieties, but continues fruiting longer that most. Its globe-shaped fruit is perfect for slicing on sandwiches and for salads. High resistance to Fusarium wilt races 1 and 2 and Verticillium wilt.

Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

Like the name says, they ripen early -- but they keep going, too. It's October 27th, and when I checked this afternoon, there were a bunch ready to be picked. These are going to be a staple.

Tried & true tomato for my hot and humid Texas garden that resists wilt while blooming all summer through our high heat summers. Of all the varieties I grow this is the most reliable and is a productive variety. Always the first for our summer BLTs! Highly recommend.
