85 days, dwarf — The rugose, potato leaf plants of 'Dwarf Tanager' reach four to five feet tall and very productive. ★★★★★ Easily the best tasting ever
By Marima (Southern California) on July 30, 2024

I've have tried many of the highest reviewed tomatoes for flavor, including Cherokee Purple, Brandywine many of the sweet cherry tomatoes. Tanger has the strongest flavor, is the sweetest, in my view, and is outright beautiful inside and out. The seed pockets are tiny as are the seeds. This was my first year growing dwarf tomatoes, so my only observation on growing is be diligent in checking for crop for pest and mildew. The plants are so compact, and the leaves so textured that all kinds of things can be missed.

★★★★★ A Keeper

Unexpectedly good! I am not a yellow tomato fan, and I usually just grow them for my mother. This one is an exception. Nice full flavor with a little bit of tang to it. It's also holding up against blight better than most of the tomatoes in my garden this year, and production is good too. Definitely worth growing even if you don't normally like yellow tomatoes.

★★★★★ Already its a winner and not even ripe.

Wow. I already know i will keep it, it is out performing an army of dwarfs.ALMOST 6FT. tall with golf ball sized fruit, if it reaches 10ft., i think it will, ok i live with it. I live on brutal pine bareen south slope. And so If a variety shows promise here, oh yea. I gonna keep it. It reminds me of Tomesol. Durable reliable, tall. Tomesol is a fabulous tomato DTP needs 2put on its lunch list. (So is German Lunchbox, &Goose Creek)

This one took me by surprise. One of the best I've grown in 2021. Big, intense, bright, tangy-sweet flavor. 5 Stars!
