Dwarf Suz's Beauty Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Price: $2.95

SKU: 3404731

Mid to Late-season, dwarf - The rugose, regular leaf plants of 'Dwarf Suz's Beauty' produce lots of medium sized, five to eight ounce, slightly oblate shaped, bright yellow colored tomatoes with red stripes. The flesh is yellow with a central red blush. Its flavor is distinctive, assertive and well balanced.

The "Beauty" family originated from a cross made by Vincent Lavallo between Dwarf Tomato Project release 'Dwarf Wild Fred' and the indeterminate variety 'Beauty King'. 'Dwarf Suz's Beauty' was selected and named by Susan Oliverson. Others who contributed to this release are Craig LeHoullier, Nancy Ruhl, Suzane Dzejachok, Carolyn Keiper, and Sandra Tipton, with Bill Minkey growing out the final release seed.
Special Groups: Container Friendly
Special Groups: Dwarf Tomato Project
Harvest Timing: Late Season
Sow seeds indoors (do not direct sow into the garden), using sterile seed starting mix, 6 to 8 weeks before your last expected frost date. Plant 1/4" deep, water lightly but keep moist until emergence.

Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.

Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

★★★★★ This truly is a beauty - and a delicious one!

The Beauty family has blessed our project with lots of gorgeous, delicious striped varieties. This one, rather than striped, has streaks, has flavor, and has beauty. The medium to medium large fruit are bright yellow with some lovely red blushing. The flesh is primarily bright yellow. The texture and flavor are just wonderful.
