Full light and cooler temps (60ยฐ to 70ยฐ) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

Every year, I experiment with new tomato varieties, always hoping to find "the one." Some have come close, but most fell short - too prone to disease, too stingy with their harvest, or just lacking in flavor.
This season, I tried two different dwarf varieties, and one of them stood out in every way. It was an early producer, an extremely heavy yielder, and the flavor was absolutely outstanding. The real proof came when I shared a few with my mother. She's always insisted, "A tomato is a tomato." I gave her one of these alongside a couple of other varieties to taste. A few days later, she asked for another tomato. I reached for one of the others, but she stopped me and said, "I want one of the pink ones."
That sealed it for me. From now on, this is the only variety I'll be growing.

Absolutely great, firm, large red fruit. Delicious tomato taste. Have grown multiple years and will continue to grow this variety.
Only one issue…in the package I ordered this year, only 4 out of 20 seeds came out to be potato leaf. Awaiting reports from some other growers what kind of tomato grew from the ones that had regular tomato leaf.

I grew these last year along with other members in a garden group. Everyone came to the same conclusion…giant, sweet, and meaty fruits! These will replace the paste and slicers in my garden.

This is one of the very largest fruited of all of the DTP varieties, producing impressive pink fruit of one pound or more, with lovely texture and full, delicious flavor. This will amaze your gardening friends!

One of my very favorites from the Dwarf Tomato Project! Just an excellent pink, meaty wonder comes from nicely 3.5 foot compact plants. The size of the fruit and their quantity made this dwarf the best producer out of fifteen last year for me in uber hot summer weather. Grow this! It's one I grow and bring to my parents because i know it will perform!
