Dwarf Shimmering Beauty
(A 2025 Victory Seed Company Introduction)

90 days, dwarf - The rugose, regular leaf plants of 'Dwarf Shimmering Beauty' produce a high yield of 6 to 16 ounce, nearly round to oblate shaped tomatoes that are striped light and dark green. The juicy flesh is green when ripe, sometimes with a pale pink blossom end blush that permiates into the center. The flavor is outstanding, complex, and deliciously tart.

'Dwarf Shimmering Beauty' got its start when Vince Lavalle crossed 'Beauty King' with 'Dwarf Wild Fred'. Susan Oliverson and Craig LeHoullier (who named the variety) did the selection work. Bill Minkey produced the seed that was then sent to Mike Dunton for grow out for Victory Seeds® to release. It was introduced by the Victory Seed Company to the gardening public for the 2025 season.

Special Groups: Dwarf Tomato Project
Sow seeds indoors (do not direct sow into the garden), using sterile seed starting mix, 6 to 8 weeks before your last expected frost date. Plant 1/4" deep, water lightly but keep moist until emergence.

Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.

Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

I love this tomato! Great sweet and fruity flavor with a touch of savory at the end. Produced very well in hot/dry conditions. Took a while to set and get mature fruit but well worth the wait. Will absolutely grow again (and again).
