80 days, dwarf — 'Dwarf Grandpa Gary's Green' has rugose, regular-leaf plants that produce fruit that are globe to slightly oblate shaped and have yellowish-green skin with green flesh when ripe. They average four to six ounces each with a mild, lightly sweet and tart, well balanced flavor.
Beginning with seed from the "Sneaky family," Susan Oliverson was the primary Dwarf Tomato Project volunteer who selected, did the majority of the stabilization work, and named the variety. Craig LeHoullier and Carol Keiper also helped with the work. Bill Minkey produced the seed for its original introduction in 2018. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.
In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Grandpa Gary's Green' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Grandpa Gary's Green' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
