Dwarf Bendigo Dawn Open Source Seed Initiative

65 days, dwarf — 'Dwarf Bendigo Dawn' has rugose, regular leaf plants that produce high yields of small, one to two ounce, pink, slightly oval-shaped, cherry sized tomatoes that are very tasty.

Bred by the "Dwarf Tomato Project," 'Dwarf Bendigo Dawn' was selected from the "Snowy" family by Gregg Muller who also named it. He and Susan Oliverson carried out the majority of the subsequent stabilization work, aided by Craig LeHoullier. Bill Minkey produced the release quantity of seed, which was introduced for the 2018 gardening season by the Victory Seed Company and Heritage Seed Market. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.

★★★★★ Best tomato of 2023
By RB (Central IL) on November 5, 2023

I tried three tomatoes from the Dwarf Tomato Project this year, plus Coyote and Puck. Dwarf Bendigo Dawn was the standout performer, producing reliably throughout the season. Flavor was good, and the fruits didn't crack, despite alternating dry spells and downpours.
