61 days, determinate - 'Danko' is a fairly early to mid-season variety. The fruit are red, heart-shaped, weigh three to fourteen ounces, and have a good flavor.

Sow seeds indoors (do not direct sow into the garden), using sterile seed starting mix, 6 to 8 weeks before your last expected frost date. Plant 1/4" deep, water lightly but keep moist until emergence.
Full light and cooler temps (60° to 70°) will help to prevent the seedlings from becoming too leggy. If plants become rootbound before you can safely set them into the ground, transplant them into larger pots.
Harden off plants before planting outside. Young plants are very susceptible to frost and sunburn damage. Avoid too much nitrogen. Water evenly but not in excess.

This has been a very early ripener for us in the Seattle area, with both large and prolific fruit set. Goes on the list to grow again next year.

The plant didn't thrive, I've moved it to a container inside the greenhouse to see if it will bear any fruit. I'm hopeful but it isn't showing much progress.

Danko is a true overachiever this year. Lots of 10 oz. plus fruits on each plant. The large size is a real time bonus. We all like the flavor. I will definitely grow several of these again next year. Tomatoes are grown in Earthboxes under shelter.
