This 2014 Regional AAS winner is great for northern areas with high yields of early to set fruit. This is a compact bush type cucumber, spreading only about 24 inches. 'Pick a Bushel' is a sweeter-tasting light-green cucumber with a nice firm texture. Perfect for pickling when harvested early. Fruit left on the bush-type vines can get up to 6 inches long and can be enjoyed fresh in salads. An excellent option for container growing.

On Feb 23rd, we sowed 4 seeds and then 2 weeks later they were potted up into a 5 gallon grow bag with regular potting soil. Just six weeks after that, we were harvesting cucumbers right on our patio!
Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 30 seeds.
Sowing: To seed in rows, plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 6 inches apart. To plant in hills, plant four or five seeds in 1-foot-diameter circles set 5 to 6 feet apart.
