Beit Alpha Cucumber
Beit Alpha Cucumber
55 days. Very early, tender, smooth-skinned, burpless cucumber developed by Hanka Lazarson in Israel in the 1930s and named after their kibbutz (village) called Beth Alpha.
Famed as a problem-free disease-resistant variety, it also has the benefit of being parthenocarpic, meaning it doesn't require pollinators, and therefore can be grown in situations such as greenhouses where other cucumber crops fail. The fruit also produce very few seeds. Very popular throughout the Middle East, and growing in popularity in the United States.
Each packet contains 1 gram which is approximately 35 to 40 seeds.
