Coorong Pink Certified Naturally Grown Seed

95 days, dwarf — 'Coorong Pink' is a rugose, regular leaf variety that produces large yields of small to medium (four to eight ounce), pink fruit. The fruit are smooth-skinned, flattened-globe in shape, juicy and meaty with a nice mild flavor. The plants average about four to six feet in height and benefit from support.

Developed by members of the "Dwarf Tomato Project" this variety originated from a cross between 'Wilpena' and 'Cherokee Purple.' 'Coorong Pink' was first bred by Patrina Nuske Small in 2008 and named 'Plentiful.' The Coorong is a coastal lagoon with abundant bird-life in South Australia. Those also involved in this variety's development were Craig LeHoullier, Ginny Bishton, Joyce Beggs, and Bill Minkey. Introduced in 2016. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

★★★★★ Delicious pink

I agree with Craig LeHoullier in that this tomato approaches the taste of Brandywine Pink. I planted 12 varieties from the dwarf tomato project and this was my 2nd favorite. Will plant again.

I am a big fan of pink tomatoes, and we've created lots of great ones in our dwarf project. Coorong Pink is one of my favorites, with great depth and complexity, yet to me still sitting on the sweet side of the spectrum. Health, vigor, and productivity are just fine.
