Chichicaste Tobacco
Chichicaste is a Bright Leaf type tobacco originating in Honduras in the 1930's. It grows 3 to 4 feet to the first crows foot on average, with some reaching up to 6 to 7 feet. It is very branching in its plant form and produces several suckers branches. It produces 10 to 12 leaves on the main stem up to 18 inches long and 10 to 12 inches wide. Many more leaves are produced on the sucker branches. It yields from 2 to 3 ounces per plant. Our seed originated from a sample of USDA GRIN accession number PI 116078. Each packet contains about 100 seeds.
