75 days, Determinate - The regular leaf plants are compact, reaching about two feet in height, but they are somewhat sprawling. The fruit are red, globe shaped, weigh 5 to 10 ounces each, and are borne in clusters of 3 to 5 fruit. Their flavor is juicy and mild.
Introduced in 1953, 'Cavalier' was developed by North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in Fargo, North Dakota as a stabilized cross between 'Bounty' and 'Valiant'. Its fruit are larger and smoother than 'Bounty' and it is well adapted for both commercial and home garden production.[1]
