80 days, indeterminate — Some merchants are selling 'Caspian Pink' as "Pink Caspian." According to its original sales literature, it is an heirloom discovered in home gardens near the Caspian Sea in Russia in 1992 by a Petoseed Company employee shortly after the Cold War ended. It was introduced to the North American gardening public in 1999.
'Caspian Pink' has large, kind of flat (oblate) shaped, pink fruit that weigh up to eleven ounces when the plants are pruned. The fruit ripen from the bottom of the plant up. Their flavor is mild and sweet. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
