Red Yucca

Hesperaloe parviflora

Price: $2.95

SKU: 2000371

A must-have for Texas and the American Southwest. This clumping plant is super popular throughout the southwest for its extreme drought resistance and carefree blooms all summer long. Come to Texas and you'll find it thriving in parking lot landscapes, and in strips of non-irrigated beds on highway medians. It makes a great hedge in areas where you have space, like against a fence.

3-4 foot long leaves with flower stalks up to 6 feet long that gracefully arch down. Give it full sun and once established you don't have to do a thing to it except enjoy the lovely flowers during the heat of the summer.

Easy to germinate. Sow in a pre-moistened cactus mix or other well drained seed starting media, lightly covered. Keep moist until germination is achieved. It's a good seed to germinate using the "winter sowing" method. Expect blooms 2 to 3 years after germination.

Each packet contains approximately 1 gram which is around 25 seeds.
