SKU: 3310352170 days - Lamuyo-type peppers are notoriously difficult to grow, but the new Red Impact F1 variety is here to change that. This 2024 All-America Selections winning pepper is easy to grow and produces thick, sweet walls, even when green. It is also much sweeter than other varieties and loaded with fruit for a high yielding gem. Red Impact plants are upright and tidy, with a strong disease package. The fruit is dark red, highly uniform in shape and size.
Genetic Classification: Hybrid
Sow seeds in sterile potting mix, eight weeks prior to your last expected frost date. Plant seeds at a depth equal to two times their thickness. The optimum soil temperature is 80°F. Germination can be erratic. The most common cause of poor germination is the result of uneven planting depths.
Transplant only after night temperatures average above 55°F. Plants are tender and thrive in warm weather. Blossoms drop if temperatures fall below 60°F or if they get too much nitrogen.
