Vigorous vines set early yields of dark green mini cucumbers. The uniform fruit are smooth, sweet, and non-bitter. Parthenocarpic variety, which means it will set fruit without a pollinator! Perfectly adapted to the urban grower. Was awarded the 2024 Green Thumb award by the National Garden Bureau.

Planting Instructions: Cucumbers grow best with long, hot, humid days with maximum sunshine and warm nights. Plants are extremely susceptible to frost. Sow seeds outside only after danger of frost when soil has warmed. Make a second sowing 4 to 5 weeks later for a late summer or early fall harvest. For an earlier harvest and to reduce the threat of insect damage to seedlings, start a few plants indoors in individual pots (or trays with separate compartments) about a month before your last spring frost date.

Sowing: To seed in rows, plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 6 inches apart. To plant in hills, plant four or five seeds in 1-foot-diameter circles set 5 to 6 feet apart.

These looked fun and I thought they would do well in a Greenstalk vertical planter. They were fun to grow, but not nearly as productive as I hoped. My plants were not nearly as picturesque as the photo above, but it looks like others have had more success based on other customer photos. I ended up with an 8" vine that produced 3 small cucumbers. Growth and production was very slow. By comparison, my Persian cucumbers pushed out 6-8 cukes in the same time.

The fruits were about 3" long, juicy, crisp, and great tasting. I just wish I had more of them to enjoy!

I will continue to experiment with growing these in different settings to see if I can get better results in the future. Definitely worth trying, especially if you are gardening in a small space or if you'd like to try to grow indoors during poor weather. They may benefit from some heavier nitrogen early on to promote bushier growth.

I got 7/10 seeds to germinate and 4 are producing fruit. The ones on the porch( withbasil, peppers, dawrf tomatoes, marigold ans nastirums are doing better then the indoor ones so far, but i still need to repot the indoor ones . Would plant again

I'm growing these cucumbers hydroponically in a countertop system and I couldn't be happier with them. This is my second try. The first time, I bought different cucumber seeds from a different company that needed to be hand pollinated. I only got a couple of female flowers that never took off. This time, I have numerous baby pickles growing.

I'm buying more today so I can have a steady stream of cucumbers to pickle.
