Penstemon palmeri

Also known as "Pink Wild Snapdragon", "Scented Beardtongue", or "Pride of the Mountain". Palmer Penstemon grows up to 4 feet tall and features pale pink flowers that bloom in early summer. Native to the southwestern U.S., it often thrives along roadsides and in open areas. The scented flowers attract bumble bees and other pollinators. This plant prefers well-drained soils and is an excellent choice for reclamation projects and pollinator mixes. It is highly drought-tolerant and thrives in harsh conditions. Each packet contains 0.1 grams, which is about 100 seeds.

Direct sow in late fall, pressing them into the soil surface as they require light for germination. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and refrigerate for 30 to 60 days before sowing. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination occurs. Alternatively, you can start the seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the spring planting date.
