45 days to maturity. This very early and highly productive eggplant variety is perfect for small spaces and container gardening. The compact plants reach just 20–24 inches tall and require no staking. Plants are thornless and consistently productive, yielding up to 50 fruits per plant over the growing season.

Fruits are deep purple, egg-shaped, and typically grow in clusters of two or three. For best flavor and texture, they should be harvested young, when they are about 2–3 inches long. When picked early, the fruit has tender skin that doesn't need peeling, and has a mild taste, with very few seeds.

These eggplants are delicious stir-fried, grilled, or roasted. Patio Baby is an All-America Selections regional winner (Northeast).

★★★★★ Productive!

These were great producers for me this summer! It was my first garden and I pretty much did everything wrong and they didn't care. I planted 3 in my garden bed and one in a container, all in brutal full sun at altitude, and all 4 plants constantly produced. Most weeks I harvested about a half dozen baby eggplants. Really great sautéed or stir fried. It's October and they're still producing.
