120 days to maturity. MexiBell combines the qualities of bell, hot, paprika, and chili peppers, delivering a mild chili heat (100–2,500 SHU) with a unique, pungent flavor. Its heat level can be adjusted by removing seeds and ribs. The 3-4 lobed, thick-fleshed, blocky peppers mature from green to chocolate to red and average 4-5 inches, with paprika and jalapeño flavor notes. They are perfect for grilling, roasting, frying, stuffing, salsas, sauces, and soups.
The upright, vigorous plants reach about 24 inches tall and provide excellent canopy protection over the peppers. Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), this variety produces heavy yields and thrives in gardens, greenhouses, or containers. 1988 AAS Edible-Vegetable winner. Each packet contains 0.25 grams which is about 25 seeds.
